This is a frequently asked question. Our answer is yes. We are confident that the Mars Base will reveal itself in a completely new light in winter. It's important to understand that we are not creating a seasonal tourist attraction, but a next-generation scientific and tourist complex that will operate year-round. Moreover, summer and winter represent two completely different use cases.
☀️ Summer
In summer, the focus will be on Martian landscapes, excursions and educational programs, science festivals and open-air events, trekking routes around the Ural Mars, a futuristic food truck with an outdoor seating area, observation of summer astronomical phenomena and the Sun, and active outdoor living amidst the unusual Martian terrain.
❄️ Winter
In winter, the complex will be transformed into a scientific and tourist research campus.
🔭 Astronomy and Space Observation
Long, clear nights and cold air are ideal for observing planets, nebulae, and astrophotography.
🧑🚀 Analog Space Missions
An atmosphere of isolation and autonomy is the best time for Mars expeditions and team programs.
🎓 Scientific Schools, Conferences, and Lectures
The complex will include a conference hall with a capacity of approximately 60 people.
This will allow for the following to be held year-round:
• Scientific conferences;
• Educational intensives;
• Schools on astronomy and astronautics;
• Lectures;
• Meetings with scientists;
• Engineering and research seminars.
🌿 Center for Health, Recovery, and Longevity
We want to create more than just a spa complex. Our vision is much broader.
This will be a space where you can recharge, undergo wellness programs, and learn about modern approaches to health, active longevity, and preparing yourself for life and work in extreme conditions.
🏜 A Completely Different "Ural Mars"
In winter, "Ural Mars" is transformed. Thanks to the unusual terrain, multicolored rocks, and constant winds, the snow falls unevenly. The hills quickly become wind-blown, revealing red, yellow, gray, and ochre patches of rock.
The result is stunning natural compositions where white snow combines with vibrant Martian hues. For photographers, videographers, and anyone who appreciates unusual natural landscapes, this is a completely new experience.
🤝 Conferences, Forums, and Corporate Programs
In winter, we plan to host corporate programs, scientific forums, business conferences, thematic festivals, strategic sessions, and educational events.
We are confident that winter will create a special atmosphere for such events.
Therefore, we don't view winter as a "low season." Quite the contrary. We believe the complex will have two distinct seasons, each with its own concept.
Summer — popular science tourism, winter astronomy, summer Mars missions, festivals, research, trekking routes, and outdoor activities.
Winter — analog space missions, winter astronomy, scientific conferences, educational programs, a health and recovery center, and the atmosphere of a real research station.
That's why we are confident that many guests will come to us twice: once in summer and once in winter. Because these will be two completely different "Ural Mars" and two completely different experiences. This is exactly the kind of year-round scientific tourism ecosystem we want to create—a place that will be interesting to visit at any time of year.
